It’s the height of hurricane/flood season. We may be spared a direct hit from Hurricane Earl, but are you prepared for the next storm? September is National Preparedness Month – a perfect time to take simple, low-cost steps NOW to prepare and protect your family:

  • Make a Plan. And discuss it with your family. Details and a worksheet.
  • Get a Kit. Gather supplies to last at least three days. What to put in your kit.
  • Stay Informed. Subscribe to PWCAN – the County’s emergency notification system. Subscribe here. A battery powered weather radio is also helpful in an emergency.

One More Weekend of Summer!

There are lots of fun things to do in Prince William County this Labor Day Weekend!
